Want to get something for free in Austin? Austin has been working to be the Greenest City in America, now they are saving its residents some green. The regular local one way fare is .75. Or you can buy a round trip ticket for $1.50. You can even call the GO Line at 474-1200, to get help planning your trip and choose the best route. Or you can pick up a schedule at most of the HEB stores in the Austin area.
Check out the latest freebie from Austin's Capital Metro, free WiFi. When you ride on the Austin bus, you get free WiFi on the crosstown buses. So now you can ride around town and surf the net, work remotely or check your email while you travel! Capital Metro also offers free rides for those over 65 years old, students, people with disabilities, firemen, police and city employees.
There is even a special bus called the Route 100 Airport Flyer. This bus runs through the downtown Austin district to the ABIA airport. This allows you to save big bucks on expensive cab fare or a pricey option of leaving your car at ABIA while you are traveling.
Austin is a great city and I could not imagine living anywhere else.
