Happy Birthday Nestor Gasset - Husband, Father, Partner and Friend.
Since I have so many friends on Active Rain and this is where I spend so much of my time I found it only fitting that-
I wish Nestor a Happy Birthday here on Active Rain.
And that I ask you to wish him a Happy Birthday today too.

Many of you ask me how do I do it all, ask me when do I ever sleep-
The simple truth is that I could not do it all without Nestor's help and support.
He is always there to run to the store with our 6 year old or if I am too busy to make dinner he will run out and get us something to eat from Whole Foods.
He does all the heavy lifting kind of stuff not just around the house but in our business too.
He will answer the phones so that I can homeschool our son and do our online marketing and blogging. He is the master at effective follow up and follow through. He is the first to pick up the phone to call the short sale lenders and magically he gets through. Nestor is not afraid to approach anyone; when we wants a listing, he gets it.
Here is a photo of Nestor with our son and one of our daughters.

Nestor is the romantic one in our family.
When I walk by him no matter how busy we are working he never misses the opportunity to give me a hug or a kiss.
He tells me every day that I am beautiful.
Nestor is now teaching our son to bring me flowers. Nestor will get the flowers and give them to our son to give to me.
Teaching moments.
Of course we fight; we yell and we argue. Not that often; but just enough for our kids to see that it is not realistic to expect spouses to get along 100% of the time. We have been together for just over 10 years.
Here is a poem I wrote for you Nestor:
I am so glad that you were born into this world
at the time that you arrived
and that our paths crossed somehow
and within an instant-
love once sheltered, lavishly unfurled.
You brought us peace amidst the violence
arriving just in time
It was meant to be
And in that day created perfect sense.
You ask, do you want to grow old with me
I sing a resounding yes
Holding your hand in mine
The future is but ours to see.
I met Nestor at the first CIPS class. It was a week long class in Boca Raton Florida. Nestor flew here from Texas to get his CIPS designation. I was in the same class.
You can read about our first meeting by clicking here for my series: Romancing Realtors ® Part 1.
Nestor lived in Texas and I lived in Florida. We were both going through extremely negative divorces.
Romancing Realtors® Part 2.
Nestor was not just my knight in shining armor but also my daughters who together with me were deathly afraid of my X husband and his violence, abuse and anti-social behavior.
When Nestor came to visit me in Florida he was assaulted, sued, threatened and much more by my X husband who just wanted to create havoc and cause me grief for ending the abuse. He worked overtime to get Nestor to leave me.
I could write a book about that whole time of our lives. If you read my Romancing Realtors posts you will understand what I am saying here.
The icing on the cake was that I also had 5 children.
Nestor jokes with me when I call him crazy. He says: yes, I am crazy. I married a woman with 5 kids.
Now we have our love child who is 6 years old now. He is such a little Nestor.
I bring a lot to Nestor's life and he brings much to mine. We are a real estate working couple- here is a post I wrote about how it works for us.
I am very happy that Nestor is celebrating his 54th Birthday today with us and that we are together.
Nestor, Happy Birthday and I love you, now and always.
Happy Birthday Nestor! I can't believe I'm the first to wish you a wonderful day. Aloha!
