Zillow's iphone app launches
Spencer beat me to the punch in writing about the new Zillow iPhone app, so I'll just reblog his post. But this is a seriously cool application.
Each month Zillow is already attracting almost 9 million people a month to the site, who have the potential to see our partners' listings. Now, imagine how many people will download this app and have access to your listing information right in their hand - potentially when they are standing in the front yard! It is powerful stuff. When you watch the first video, toward the end, you'll see how they can immediately contact you, the listing agent. Powerful.
Here is one of the first comments left on the orginal post by Ron Reed, "just downloaded this app for FREE to my 3G iPhone... This application is by far the most advanced real estate technology this world has ever seen... Period. .. and that's coming from young 28 year old who literally grew up with advanced technology. If you don't own an Applie iPhone, and were drawn to the functionality of the Blackberry... you're missing the boat. BUYERS own iPhones... Thanks, Zillow... as a REALTOR I thank you for the opportunity to have this information available to our clients."
It's supercool.
It has every home, not just homes that are for sale. It's GPS-enabled, so it follows you around the neighborhood as you drive or walk. And the map has pan and zoom functionality which is slick.
It's free. Check it out.
Here's the official Zillow video on it.
And with all due respect to my friends at Zillow, here's the much more entertaining video of my 4 year old playing with the app:
