Verizon Wireless Brings More Jobs To The Valley

As you may or may not know, Verizon Wireless broke ground on their new call center in Huntsville's very own Thornton Research Park in February.  This is the new research park with spaces priced around $50,000 per acre.  It is adjacent to I-565 in Huntsville.  It is located close to Cummings Resarch Park, the 2nd largest research park in the nation.  Verizon Wireless will join other major tenants such as Cinram, Huntsville Hospital, and DirecTV.  Located convenient to Huntsville International Airport, I-565, and Redstone Arsenal, it is expected to be a very successful venture due to the already profitable location.

Construction is set to be completed in September, but in the meantime hiring has started for the facility that is expected to have 1,300 employees when it is fully staffed.  Many are excited about the employment opportunities Verizon Wireless is bringing to Huntsville and the surrounding areas.  Besides the customer service representatives and supervisors,  there will also be tech support, corporate sales representative, and government customer service teams.  The first class of new employees will begin orientation and training in July to be prepared for the center opening later this fall.

Those interested in a career in customer service are invited to join the team at Verizon's new facility.  Recruiting is still on going and resumes can be submitted at www.verizonwireless.com/careers.
