How neat it is to get to know - and feel I already do know - so many people across the country - all due to Active Rain connections! There are so many of you that I would feel completely comfortable calling if I were to be in town – and I have – to get together for lunch or for a visit.

Elaine, Teri, LisaBefore joining and proactively blogging on Active Rain, I knew not one person in Florida,  or in Northern California, Texas, New Jersey, or in Seattle, or?? with whom I would want to connect should I be in town!

Now? There’s barely a city that doesn’t have someone that I’ve gotten to know through Active Rain which lead to tweeting, LinkedIn, and myriad social networks!

Last week, it was so special to see Lisa Heindel from New Orleans, and to Mana, Elaine, Candace, Amanda and Lisameet Amanda Hall (the beautiful redhead) from Fort Worth, Texas, as well as Mana Tulberg and Elaine Hanson from California, and hang out with those from Active Rain – and to get to know many others.

Active Rain reminds me of a huge snowball that continues to collect more and more beautiful crystals that together bring a prolific and wonderful bunch of people to share ideas, to share Gay, Candace, Amanda and Billhugs, and connect.

I ’m integrating some of the photos I took while at the Phoenix RE Bar Camp hosted by our wonderful Phoenix people getting to know them better as well.

For more photos – of the entire event, check out this link on Flickr.

AND, check out another photo on the comment section.

We had wonderful time, learned so much, met lots of cool people, dished out lots of hugs, and had FUN!!! All of this – because of my  connection with Active Rain.

Great to catch up with you again, Teri, as well as finally meet the merry band of miscreants in person.  I had a great time and actually learned a few things.  Who said school and fun have to be mutually exclusive?

Hi Teri,

Don't forget about us, north of the Border.  I'm thrilled to be part of this big pyjama party.  I can't wait to catch up with some of you on my travels.

Active Rain is a wonderful community.  Referrals are a wonderful thing.  And, since we get to know each other through our comments and conversations off line, it makes referring easy.  You feel as if you know the person in the next "office",  Looks like you had a great time!

Teri, I wanted to go to PHX, but Paul said I couldn't go.  I'm not miscreantish enough to be in his merry band,I think.

Actually we had the Portland one on the same day so I was with the local miscreants from Oregon.  I'm glad you had a good time!

Didn't you just love REBar? Meeting everyone that showed that you can only see in that little one inch picture, never to have been able to put a voice with. I enjoyed mine last week also and have to say meeting the people was the best part!

Teri - I must admit that I am jealous - I see four of my best friends from ActiveRain in those pictures above.  Thankfully, I managed to meet 3 of them back in October in Houston.  :)

Elaine - Coming to Texas anytime soon?  I hear a mutual friend is coming down here in a few months.  :)

Hi Teri - you're right!  It's a great place to meet agents I wouldn't have met otherwise.  That's why I will definitely call you with referrals in your area.  I saw the info for RE Bar Camp at the ARMLS technopalooza.  After reading this post I have to go find out what it is!  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Teri,

Gosh Looks like you did have an awesome time!  Wish I could have been there, I knew I was unable to go since I had out of state clients in town that told me there were coming before the date of PHX RE Camp had been finalized.  You always seem to have a good time,  Look forward to meeting you at another function that will be thrown.

Teri ~ How true! I was at SeaTac airport a couple of weeks back, then OHara in Chicago. On both occassions I met people I knew on AR... It was like, "you look familiar, have we met?" Well, yes we had, on Active Rain!

I think of AR sometimes like a huge electron magnet... If you have any metal on you (or in you) you'll be pulled into the gravitational field...

thx...

Teri, I recognize some of those faces from our Rebar camp here in Houston.  I was hoping to go to the one in Denver but it is over Memorial weekend Friday not Mother's day weekend Friday so for this year it is a no go.  I am going to Denver to surprise my Mother for Mother's day though.
