THE CRAGS TRAIL

The Crags Trail-Head is located 45 minutes from Colorado Springs on the West Side of Pikes Peak. The trail is around a 6

mile hike through pine forests with lush aspen/willow  meadows. The views are really good throughout the View of Pikes Peak Reservior

hike, including views of jagged peaks and of the Pikes Peak reserviors at the summit.

The trailhead starts out at about 9000 feet and climbs to over 10000 feet. This trail is

considered moderate but has been known to have inclemental weather such as snowstorms

and lightning storms.

Directions:  Take Highway 24 west of Colorado Springs to Divide. East on Highway 67 about 4-5 miles and make a left at "The Crags" sign. Follow the forest service road past the campgrounds to the Crags Trail-Head.
