The Occoquan River Communities plans for the River Festival have been finalized. As you can easily see the flyer below outlines the many activities that will be taking place in the various venues that call the Occoquan River home. As a member of ORC and a member of the Board of Directors I can personally attest to the effort put forth by John Houser, Manager of Occoquan Regional Park. This festival will have a wide variety of events to please every age and interest.
Since the events are held in numerous locations along or near the river we have arranged for water taxis and buses to move people to and from the six locations. Water taxis? Of course. After all, it is a river festival.
The final event of the day will feature several hundred luminaries being lit and set aloft from the Occoquan Regional Park. They are in support of the Make-A-Wish-Foundation - you will be able to purchase luminaries and inscribe them with a special wish or remembrance.
