More than 1,500 people are expected to participate in the Second Annual 5K Jenny's Walk Sunday at the San Diego State University Aztec Center.

Money raised from the event will benefit the Friendship Circle, an organization that specializes in bringing joy, companionship, and friendship to children with special needs, as well as their families.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, but you can pre-register at their web site. If you can't participate or make it to the event, you can donate at their web site, as well.

Schedule of events:

• 8:00 a.m. - Registration
• 9:00 a.m. - Pre-walk ceremony
• 9:15 a.m. - 5K walk around the campus of San Diego State University, a very beautiful campus nestled on a mesa and hillside in eastern San Diego
• 11:00 a.m. - Awards ceremony
• 11:50 a.m. - Ending ceremony
