5 Comments on Bankers "Own" the U.S. Congress
Tony, after today, I sure thought it was the Auto Industry and the Unions that own the Congress
Tony, interesting the big to do that is being made over a statement we already knew. There is no way anyone could function in this country without first getting the blessing of the bank. Are we done yet?
Tim and Pam: Not even close. The Fed usurps the Gov't so the banks dominate.
Terry: not sure what you were saying in your first sentence. Are we done with what?
Tony, you got it wrong bro.
No one owns congress. They are suppose to represent you and me aren't they?
Ha Ha.
Fact is careerist politicians are chattel. Their only interest is in perpetuating their jobs so they can have pensions better than any autoworker.
regarding General Butler:
Reminds me of ,John Murtha the king of Pork --only the General accomplished much, much more in his honorable service to his country and unlike Murtha, didn't "eat his own" (Hadith Marines)
Just reading the first few lines of his book, gave me the impression he was a pretty bitter man. And he had an axe to grind with those (industrialists) who "never shouldered a rifle, or dug a trench." He served honorably and was highly decorated and obviously he had belly full. But, I wouldn't take what he said as gospel. Quite a difference between a man like this and say a John Kerry, Vietnam Vet and Jane Fonda loving peace-nik
--This from wikipedia about the General--
In 1934, he alleged to the United States Congress that a group of wealthy industrialists had plotted a military coup known as the Business Plot to overthrow the government of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The allegations were controversial and hurt his post-military standing
Unfortunately, wars will always be. There will always be a need for Guns. There will always be a need for people to make them, sell them and for those who are willing to pick them up and use them. To think this is absurd, is absurd.
John: I know they don't "literally" own Congress. How naive do you think I am? The point of the matter is they line the pockets of politicians with thier contributions more than any other lobbying party.
And yes, Smedley was right,
What's with you calling me 'bro?'
