I've been invited to be a potential candidate for "Who's Who Among Executives and Professional Women...3 times...

For some reason, I have never written back to this invitation. I'm not sure why.

Have any of you had this same invitation? If you have, have you replied to their requests?

I mean, I have had quite a nice career in the medical arena prior to my real estate career, however, I'm not sure why I resist the opportunity to be published as a prominent accomplished person through this arena.

What do you think?

Karen, I've been invited. As I recall there's a fee associated with getting the plaque/certificate and upgrading your entry.

Every year I am invited and I did join two years ago, and there is a fee involved to receive a certificate and/or plaque, they also provide you with a link to their website and graphics for your website.

Well it sounds nice. Havent been invited, probably because I have been in busines for myself for less than 3 years, before that I worked for the State of Arizona. They usually dont give caseworker awards like that. I think I would go if I were you, just to see what it is and besides you may have FUN!

Karen, There is a Male version of this as well, Initially when I was approached, it was great stroking of my Ego, then came the fee, the plaque. I did not see the benefit of spending $200-$300 to impress my existing or future clients.... or my own ego. Each to their own. Good luck with it:))

I have been invited by some group . I do not remember the name but did not loin because of the fees.

I know it sounds like a compliment...I have been invited to Who is Whomever in the state, the profession, the entrepreneurs...it is a publishing scam...of course you want to buy the book...and that is what they are selling...and if you don't buy...bet you don't make the cut for an honorable mention in the book !

I've been invited and didn't join. We also received letters when my children graduated. I agree with Sally and/or David that they just want to sell the book and collect their fees.

Karen....LOL, I get invited at least twice a year. The first time I did check it out and determined it was a mass mailing that appeals to our umm....ego. I think there is even a new one that started a year or so ago. I would pass if I were you!

I was invited many times before as well. I just cannot understand the point, even better, who these come from and what the point of it is.

Don't worry, no intensions, just wanted to know if any of you have joined and if there was any benefit to whatever it is they are trying to accomplish.
