Tucson Toros Baseball is back!  May starts the Tucson Toros new season at Hi Corbett Field. Opening Night is on Thursday, May 21, 2009 7PM - check out the Tucson Toros 2009 Schedule.  Tryouts for a local Tucson Toros player will be held at Hi Corbett Field on May 2 and 9, 2009. The Toros will reserve a roster spot or two for local players from Tucson, AZ. Visit the Tucson Toros for more information.

Tucson Street Rod Association's Hot Rod Show - the Fourth Avenue Merchants Association and the Tucson Street Rod Association feature an outdoor show of hot rod cars - it's free from 8 am - 3 pm.

24th Annual Tucson Folk Festival- El Presidio Park, headline acts each evening, local and regional musicians, a children's' show, and food and crafts booths, free, Sat noon - 10 pm, Sun 11 am - pm.

28th Annual Cinco de Mayo 10K Fitness Fiesta - Southern Arizona Roadrunners Tucson's largest 10K!  Run or walk the course, post-race refreshments and event t-shirt.  Come prepared, I've done this event and it can be challenging in spots - but it great time and event for the whole family!  (PS - The Tucson Assocation of Realtors is sponsoring a Meet Me Downtown 5k event on May 30th as well - it's an evening run through the streets of downtown Tucson AZ!)

16th Annual Climb to Ski Valley - Friday May 8th at the base of Mt. Lemmon!  It's a bike ride, followed by lunch at the pie shop in Summerhaven, includes four sag stops!  This has to be my favorite!  What you say?  Riding up a hill?!  It's always fun when there is someone who will help you get to the top for the yummy food!

Gabrielle, sounds like you have some fun events coming up. Hi Corbett Field? Isn't that where the Cleveland Indians used to train a long time ago?

MORNING GABE!  You got it!  And these are just the highlights!  Have a good weekend - Gab

MORNING DAN!  You are correct about the Cleveland Indians!  We lost the Sidewinders last year and got the Toros back.  I missed Tuffy and company as well as being able to see the Indians play games at Hi Corbett!  It's good change!  Fun to see that someone who doesn't live here knows about the stadium! Have a great weekend! -- Gab

MORNING CONNIE!  I couldn't hae said it better!  Have a wonderful weekend -- Gab

MORNING LAURA!  I just visited your blog and loved your Top 10 - I'll be back to leave you a note!  I am glad you are busy -- thanks for stopping by -- Gabrielle
