It's a couple hours into the beginning of Sellsius first ever 100 + 1 Blogathon.  The two participants, Ardell DellaLoggia from Seattle and Active Rain member Greg Swann of BloodhoundBlog are hoping to complete the required amount of posts in the alotted time, but I just checked and each entrant had only 2, no 3, no 4 written!  Are they sleeping away their valuable time?  If they use the entire 24 hours, that only allows 14.26 minutes per article!  14.26 minutes!  They've committed to quality content as well.  Will they make it?  Or will the winner be the one with the most completed posts?  Virtual bets have been placed on the winner.  There's a play by play at The Property Monger.  What if they get writer's block in the middle?  The pressure is on.  Obviously, they won't be selling real estate on Tuesday!

I woke up about 3:30 and looked ... forgetting the time difference.  I am in the eastern time zone...Both had one entry I believe.  Greg has 17 now.  Ardell had 9 when I checked a few minutes ago... no that may not be correct.  Greg's count is from Technorat, I did not actually go to the Bloodhound Blog.  Since Ardell's are not yet showing up on Technorati I went directly to her blog...

As of 3:40 PM (EST) Greg is up to #70 and I don't know what number Ardell is up to because she's not numbering hers the way Greg is.  I think Ardell may be getting tired/sleepy, writer's cramp, or writer's block because the last several entries consist of a photo of landmark homes/properties... Monticello, the White House, the Biltmore Estate, etc.

If they both reach 101 blog posts before midnight, do they both win or just the one who finished first?

And here I was going to make some remark about women having more staying power if Ardell won.  I'll have to think of a better line for Greg is he wins.  Maybe the Bloodhound always finds the prize?

At 3:15 PM central Ardell had 48 posts.  She numbers them right after the date.  Greg is long gone in the 70's.  Ardell is talking about being tired.  Greg . . . he's mired in words.

I can't imagine anything more stimulating that a "blog post race." I expect it's something serious bloggers can appreciate (no way would I attempt such a thing...it took me ten minutes to type this comment).
