Spring Snow In Cambridge

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Destiny Real Estate Cambridge, MA

No - it wasn't snow - but it sure looked like it yesterday as the spring breezes filled the air with falling petals from the beautiful flowering trees all over Cambridge.

It was so nice to have a couple of spring-like days since within a week of shutting off the heat we had temperatures over 90 degrees.  With no leaves on the trees that makes for a lot of unshaded pavement. Ugh!  For the time being temperatures have cooled.

I've so enjoyed - vicariously - all your beautiful pictures from warmer parts of the country as we plodded through an endless winter.  So before we immediately segue into summer here's some proof that we do get indeed get spring in Cambridge.

Spring is beautiful with all the blooming flowers.  I love all the bright colors. Have a great week-end.

Elizabeth, that is a very pretty garden, and I now exactly what you are talking about! We had the same thing here on LI, very high temperatures last week, and back to Spring now. Enjoy these beautiful days.

Elizabeth--Thanks for the beautiful photos of your area.  At first your title pulled me here because I know how fickle spring can be north of Mason Dixon, but I was pleasantly surprised to see flowers. Thanks again and have a great day.  Mary

Liz, oh, how wonderful, thank you. I have a few more spring pictures you just inspired me to post. You really make me want to come up for a visit of my old haunts... LOL.

Hi Connie ~ It sure is a relief after a long winter - and it just gets prettier and prettier.

Hi Lourdes ~ Funny - I always use the Today show (Matt and Meredith's comments I mean - not the actual forecast) as my indicator of weather in the next day or so - we seem to be in a similar weather track.

Hi Mary ~ It was amazing - it really did look like fluffly flakes of snow - and that's certainly possible around here - I have memories of a terrible storm that happened after the leaves were really out - the trees can't hold the weight of the snow on the leaves and trees go down everywhere.  My memories are particularly vivid because I was on the train going home from Boston - and that train wasn't going anywhere because of fallen trees on the track.

Hi Andrea ~ I'll have to check them out!  I realized on the hot day that all my photos for my blog will be from spring or fall - once it gets really hot I'm not going to be out and about - so I'm snapping away as fast as I can.

Hi Gabrielle! It's about this time of the year when we all start saying "no wonder we sell the most real estate in spring" - everything looks so nice - in contrast to winter when sometimes things look a bit grim.

Liz
