8 Comments on LOBSTER RACES TONIGHT!!!!
I have never been to a lobser race. Do you reserve refreshments? I use to live in Georgia.
Sounds like a waste of good lobster...hahaha........do you reserve them for butter sauce after the race????
Happy Friday!!
Lori
Hi Kara-That probably is a pretty interesting race to watch. Probably kind of slow though but then again I don't have a clue how fast a lobster can move. <SMILE>
I have never been to a lobster race either, sounds like an interesting time. What does the winner get?
That sounds like a ton of fun Kara!
Take lots of pictures and don't forget to post them for us all to see.
Hey Y'all - thanks for your comments. To answer some of your questions....
Yes - I'll take pics and post them over the weekend!
We are expecting between 8,000 and 10,000 people. !!!
There will be 14 lobster races in heats of five with the first set of seven races beginning at 7:30 p.m. and the second set starting at 8:15 p.m.
"The winners go back to the ocean and the losers get the melted butter award," said Kara Flanders, a race organizer.
---did you notice my friend Kara and I have the same name, lol. It is really weird when she calls here - 'hi Kara, this is Kara...' lol - too funny.
I don't suppose you have any Lobster Race photo's for us do you? I cannot believe 8,0000 t0o 10,000 people will show up for this race. We have "Wiener Dog" races every year for Cinco De Mayo but only get about 100 or so to show up! LOL!
I do have some pics...just have to get them out of my camera, lol. I was sooooo crowded - hard to believe all those people fit :)
