Q. I'm a little anxious about selling our home. Can you offer any suggestions to make the selling process easier to deal with while our home is on the market?
A. Being a home seller is not always easy. You see, while your house is for sale and on display to the buying public, so is your whole life.
One of the most important services a REALTOR offers is helping home sellers hold their lives together during the entire marketing and home selling process.
Here are two of my best suggestions.
- Hire a cleaning service, (This is most helpful when both sellers work.)
- Allowi a lockbox on the property is a big advantage. (This gives agents driving the neighborhood with buyers and on the spot showing opportunity. Your home gets seen and not missed.)
TIP: If absolute privacy is a must, allow for showings only by pre arranged appointments coordinated by your agent and emphasized in the MLS data.
Finally NEVER allow strangers into your home wtihout an agent present.
