Solon Ohio Entertainment: Guide for Local Children's Birthday Parties

GUIDE TO LOCAL AREA CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Whether you have lived in the Solon area for a long time or have recently relocated here, finding a suitable venue for your child's birthday party can be a challenge. With that in mind, we have put together a list of places that have been kid tested and approved.

Many of these businesses are located in or near Solon and are locally owned and operated. Most also have special packages and pricing specifically for birthday parties. A few are seasonal so availability will depend on the date of your child's birthday party. Whatever you decide to do, we advise you to plan well in advance just to make sure your child isn't shut out and disappointed.

American Bouncers - The kids are guaranteed to get in a great workout on all the bounce equipment and the staff is terrific with the kids.  They do book quickly so you may want to call at least 30 days in advance.

My Gym - Celebrate your child's special day with captivating, age-appropriate games and fun activities, rides, songs, puppets and more. Located in Solon.   

The Little Gym -  Located in nearby Twinsburg, they have special party packages available.

Turle's Gymnastics and Trampoline Academy - Turle's hasseveral different birthday party packages available. The trampoline's are a big hit with the kids.

Cuts N Curls - Located in Uptown Solon Shopping Center, they offer great birthday party packages for your "little princess".  Also, a great place to take your kids for a haircut as they offer a variety of video games to keep your child occupied and distracted.

Play Matters -   They offer award winning toys not found in other stores that teach and challenge children. Children can do crafts and other fun interactive activities. They have 3 area locations.

Martial Arts - Asian Sun Martial Arts Training Center-This is the training center that we personally belong to and they have locations in nearby Beachwood and Hudson. The kids will play games and get plenty of excercise. There are also other marital arts studios located in and around Solon as well that host parties.

Solon Freeway Lanes - There's nothing like a bowling party to really get kids excited. The food is great and the atosphere is ideal for hosting a child's party.  

Whirly Ball Laser-Sport - Most appropriate for ages 9 and up, Laser Tag is a ton of fun. A good place for adult parties as well.   

Solon Cinemas - They have all of the new releases and have rooms designated for private birthday parties.

Lake County Captains ( Minor League Baseball ) - Great family entertainment, but seasonal.

Lake Erie Monsters ( Minor League Hockey ) - The Monsters offer a great family environment and there are a ton of activities for the kids, including the ever popular "face painting" station. The kids may not remember details of the actual game, but will come home happy.  

Solon Rec Center -  The local Rec Center has 5 different birthday packages available for children ages 3-13. They have a pool available for swimming parties and several party rooms. You can also reserve a room and hire outside entertainment from the list below.

TS Macklin Event Centre Club Macks   A really fun place and especially great for big parties. If your child and another child want to have a party together, "Club Macks" should be considered. "Crazy Legs" will be on hand to personally teach the children all of the latest dance moves and will make sure to get all of the kids, and even adults, involved.

Here are some great local entertainers that are ideal for in-home parties or added entertainment if holding a party off site like at the Solon Rec Center:

Jungle Terry- Jungle Terry puts on a great show as he brings his own animals, such as a chinchilla, snakes, birds, a giant turtle, crocodile, hedgehog, and much more. The kids get a chance to see and touch animals in a very safe environment. Jungle Terry performs all over the area and having him perform at your child's party would be a very special treat.

Magician - Rick Smith Jr. is a Guinness Book of World Record holder and has appeared on national TV many times. He does some amazing tricks and makes sure that the birthday boy or girl gets extra special attention on their big day. Having a local talent like Rick available is great and the kids love him. 

Flower Clown - He does magic, is great at making balloon animals and gets everyone involved.
