U.S. Postage Rate Increase

Someone may have already posted this information. But effective May 11th, postage rates are going up again. They just went up last year, but for whatever reason I guess they're doing it again.

Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up. You certainly don't want your next mailing campaign to be returned for insufficient postage.

you know, Michael, I honestly did not know that. Thank you for letting me know. I can't keep up with those prices.

Michael - Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten all about it. I need to get to the post office and pick up some 2 cent stamps. - Mike

Hi Joanna: You're welcome. I didn't know either! I just found out - which is why I thought I should do quick post for those who hadn't heard, and as a reminder for those who had.

Hi Mike & Sheryl: Thank you for the comment. And you're welcome. I need to do the same thing, as I just bought a bunch of 42¢ stamps - and no one mentioned the rates were going up.

Hi Michael....hurray for the Forever stamp, by mistake I bought hundreds of them...LOL

Hey Gail: Thanks! I had no idea what the 'Forever Stamp' even was, until your comment. And luckily, that's what I bought too. Now I don't need the 2¢ stamps. Not that it's that much money, but in this economy... ; )

For those of you have the below stamp, you don't need to add a 2¢ stamp to it. It's still good.

Michael, Thanks for the heads up. I wish I bought more forever stamps. I just could not see stacking up hundreds of dollars in these stamps. Oh well, I am running to the post office this Monday:)

Hi Endre: You're welcome. I wish I'd bought more as well. But for 2¢, I think I can handle difference for now. : )

I just a bunch of 'Forever' stamps, too - should hold me for awhile! Why would anyone buy anything else?

Michael, thanks for the reminder.  I just sent out a mailing last week trying to beat the postage increase.  I did  not have the "Forever" stamps but I agree with Debi, those will be my stamp of choice in the future.

Hi Debi: Thanks for stopping by. I bought a bunch too, however I had no idea that's what they were when I did. Shows how observant I am, huh.  : )

Hi Valerie: Thank you for the comment. They will be my stamp of choice as well. In fact, I may go buy some more before the increase takes effect. Every dollar counts, right?  : )

Hi Skye: You're welcome. Thank you for the comment. I was planning to refresh my supply of stamps before the change took effect. Unfortunately, I never had the time. Oh, well - it's only 2¢    : )

i can't keep up with postage anymore, which is why I buy the "forever" stamps. This way I never have to think of what the postage is because the stamps are good forever.

Hi Elizabeth: Thanks for the comment. I know what you mean. It seems like postage is always going up. Fortunately, the last batch of stamps I purchased was the 'Forever Stamps' too. But I never really paid attention to what I was getting. I will now.
