Cell Phone Numbers Go Public this month - proved false by Snopes.com

REMINDER....  all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:   

 888-382-1222


It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS... It takes about 20 seconds.

Bridget, if you check with www.snopes.com, you'll see that this claim (which has been floating around the internet for a few years), is not true.

I just called the number and it semed legit.  I also know that I have been as well as my husband receiving telemarketing calls on my cell phone.  oh well!

yes, the 'do not call' number is legit... but the fact that they're planning on releasing cell phone number to telemarketers is false.   Click here to see.
