Simply Staged Inc. was selected to stage this charming New Milford home.  It has been showing vacant for the past eight months.  One of the concerns brought forward was room definition and furniture layout.  Potential buyers were confused as to how they would live in the space.

Staging has answered that question.  The rooms are well defined and there is no more guessing as to where the furniture would be placed or how the room is to be used.  Features of the home, such as the niches, were not being showcased to their potential when the home was vacant.  Staging now draws out the niches as a feature rather than causing confusion as to what should be placed there.

Below are a few before/after photos of the home's transformation.

You did a wonderful job.  I love all the furniture and colors you used.  I also love the niches.  I'm sure it will sell soon.  Great work.

The niches look fabulous!  Your color palette is perfect with the interior of the home.  Great staging Michele!

Lovely staging, I love the colors and how you have the right balance of color in your palette, and accessories.  Good job.

Thanks Chrissie!  I hope it sells quickly too.

Thank you Cathy Lee and Terrylynn.  The color of the green sofa/love is even more vibrant in person.  First time I have used this set and loved the color.

Michele ~ I love the furniture you used in the sunroom - very inviting! Of course, all the rooms look much better with the furniture and accessories you added.  Those niches in the living room a lot of people don't know what to do with, and you showed them off nicely.

Michele - WOW!  Love what you did.  I especially love the alcoves and the green sofas. I am using a lot of green this year.  Last year it was orange...this year green :-).

Thanks Kathy!  Those niches became one of my favorite features.

Thanks Wanda!  I liked the green sofa set too when I saw it, but once it was placed in the home I loved it even more.  The chair is actually not part of the set, but you would never know it.

Thank you for the feature Kathy and your kind words!

Michele you did a fabulous job! Love your furniture choices. You really acheived just the right balance of enough furniture and accessories to make this home look modern and livable.

Congrats Michele~ I really like how you showcased the alcoves - eliminating the 'question marks' of buyers who may not have appreciated such cool features had the home not been staged!

Oh, how I love that little wood panelled sun room. Makes me want to sit down, pick up a book, and sip a bit of tea. The niches look great as well. When rooms are painted white, those niches just tend to blend in with everything else and buyers don't see them as fun spaces that just call out for art!

Thanks Tessa!  Prior to staging the Realtor was being asked to explain the living/family room space.  Without furniture the living area felt small, but as you can see there is plenty of room to accommodate furniture.  As you said, staging showed the space to be more livable.

Tosha, to be honest even I did not appreciate the niches prior to paint and staging.  They were certainly a sleeper.

Thank you Janis!  The sun room felt like a pass through prior to staging.  I am with you - tea and a good book and I could spend all morning out there!

Michele, absolutely BEAUTIFUL work! I love how you put large pieces of art and a few tasteful accessories in those niches that may have seemed like wasted space when they were empty. I also love that sunroom. It seemed WAY too small to be useful before you furnished it beautifully and made it an easy sell.
