The museum is celebrating the 1950's theme since it is Ocean Isle Beach's 50th anniversary. Rare 1950's photographs from the area, food, drinks, 50's music of The Bopper and listen to strolling musician Steve Calfee, and dance throughout the evening. Dress in 50's attire if you wish. Funds raised will go toward the purchas of Ingram Planetarium's new SciDome HD digital projection and laser lights systems with 5.1 surround sound.

Women Anglers In Training Weekend (WAIT)
Annual fishing program called WAIT! Program is for beginner and advanced angler women only and promises to put participants at ease and develop their potential as anglers. Stress free environment where women can ask questions and try their hand at a variety of angling activities. Two-day experience will introduce surf fishing, pier fishing, bottom fishing, tying lures, trolling with live bait, king fishing, flounder fishing, net casting and more. Event concludes with a daylong fishing trip on Sunday either on the pier or by boat. Two-days of fishing instruction, numerous samples, door prizes, lunch both days.

Coast Guard Station Oak Islnad will be hosting its fourth annual multi agency & military EXPO aka safety day. Numerous services including the NC State Troopers, local Sheriff offices, local fire department, surrounding Coast Guard Stateions, recruiting services, S.W.A.T, The Bomb Squad, Command Centers, possible Military aircraft demonstations, and many more. There is no admission charges and fun for everyone. The local food bank will also be present accepting can good donations. Goal is 3,000 pounds of can goods.
