If you could see the mother Blackbird popping her head out of this hole to watch my every move....

The crackling of fallen old oak leaves under my feet let her know I was near.

Hello Michele, I haven't stopped by your blogs lately because my computer crashed. I was able to use an office computer but couldn't really make time to play in the rain on borrowed "stuff." It's good to be back and what a thought provoking photo.

Very nice photographic composition. I tend to stay away from cemetaries, although I did take one of the tours of the historic above-ground cemetaries in New Orleans.

Hi Marian and Russell- Im not much into burial sites but I was actually parked in front of the church next door and saw the mother bird making "deliveries" to the knot hole..had to sneek up and try to get a shot...she had her eye on me the whole time. I thought it was a nice "quiet" community to raise a young-un !
