V-flyer impressed me

Today I was so impressed with V-flyer.  Not because they have a great real estate listing product, not because they have a cool customizable widget, not even because my listings are automatically populated into tons of real estate sites, but because I received a personal call from one of the founders, Oliver Muoto.

He called me to personally thank me for using his product, to tell me he had seen the widget being used here in Active Rain, to offer his help if I ever needed it, and to tell me they would love feedback.

THAT's what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

So here's a cool widget that took me about 10 seconds to personalize.

I love this product and now like it even more after hearing from one of the founders himself - thanks Oliver!

Pretty cool of them to contact you!!!  I like what you've done; I didn't realize they were so versatile; I'd only ever created a static flyer there, but I'll have to go back and dig deeper.  Thanks for sharing!

I lOVE V-Flyer. I can't beleive how far the  Net, and goodies for the Net, have come... How nice getting a "special" call.

05/23/2007 10:51 PM by Kathy "Kat" DeLong, REALTOR (WINDERMERE FINE PROPERTIES/LAKE ARROWHEAD)

Steve - it's a great tool, very affordable and you can even include these widgets in static webpages - take a look at www.YourPropertyPros.com

Maureen - look in the "widgets" tab after you input your properties and you'll have a great choice.

Kathy- I totally agree.....there are some great things out there.

Monica - go take a look - you can even try it for free.

Rich - I missed his call and he left a message but nice that they are acknowleging their customers.  And now even better that I hear he called others.

05/23/2007 11:52 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Dena - I have not seen postlets but I started with v-flyer when they were on Beta

Sally - I was not able to talk to him but got a message - but impressed nevertheless....thanks for the "lovable" part.....that's what my hubby says too!  ; )

That's really cool Ines!!!  I love to hear YOU received a personal call from Oliver himself to say THANKS!  That's speaks huge volumes regarding his customer service!!

05/24/2007 05:19 AM by Real Estate Specialist | Brandon, FL | Susie Roscoe (Signature Realty Associates)

Ines, I've been meaning to spend more time checking out vFLyers.  Linda Davis loves them.  I had noticed that both you and Rich had done listing posts with them and figured I need to make the time to look into them again.  I ask this question at the risk of having everyone know I am not as tech savvy as Nick M.: What exactly is a widget? =)

05/24/2007 06:38 AM by Palmetto Bay | Redland Real Estate | Maggie Dokic (EWM Realtors)

I got a call too!   What a refreshing idea --to call a customer and ask how you can improve!  Very impressive!

05/24/2007 07:55 AM by Western New York Home Sales | Colleen Kulikowski (Hunt Real Estate ERA)

Lisa - I like the word too....it's so non-geek and geeky at the same time.

Cyndee - please call me if you have any questions, but it's supper easy to use.

Ann - what I like is that you can used them anywhere...in blogsites or static pages....not bad at all!

Susie - I totally agree....it means the company will go far for sure.

Maggie - LOL - Here's the technical definition of a widget - it's the little thingies that you can put on the right column of Active Rain - you've seen the polls, or Jeff Turner's illustrated graphic, or the MyBloglog one with all the people that have visited.  I even have a chat with me feature from meebo at www.Miamism.com

Colleen - that's awesome!!  and I agree...very impressive.

05/24/2007 08:06 AM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

I use VFlyer but really need to use it "better" ...! Congrats on the phone call.

05/24/2007 11:57 AM by Mariana Wagner ~ Colorado Springs REALTOR® (Wagner iTeam -Keller Williams Clients' Choice)

I have been using VFlyer for a while and love using the source code to post in Craigslits for a smooth looking flyer.

Mariana - I think we need to congratulate the guys at v-flyer for contacting their customers - I'm just a regular user.

Wayne and Lynda - it's always great to hear about useful tools out there - I've learned so much here in Active Rain

Lori - I totally agree - those flyers look so much better - have you seen the listing entries here in AR?...they look sharp as well.

05/24/2007 01:34 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

I love v-flyers. They are much better then the other out there. Love the widgets and love seeing my listings all over the the net. Cool Stuff.

Their customer sevice is excellent. So helpful, always available. It is a exciting tools to use.

05/24/2007 01:53 PM by Missy Caulk Ann Arbor Real Estate (Keller Williams Ann Arbor, Michigan)

Thanks for the reminder about vFlyer. In this time of budget watching, it's great to know there are some freebies to promote yourself and listings. Mike C

05/24/2007 01:58 PM by Sugar Pine Realty/GMAC

The way you feel about that phone call is how your customers feel, I bet-totally impressed by your dedication to customer service. =)

05/24/2007 02:17 PM by Leigh Brown Charlotte NC Broker/Owner (RE/MAX Signature Properties)

This was interesting to read.  I've been quite impressed by the results of those who are using V-Flyers, but like Maggie felt a little intimidated with regard to technical know how.  It's very good to hear that the company is so customer service oriented.

05/24/2007 02:32 PM by Lola Audu~ Audu Real Estate~ Grand Rapids, MI Broker

Hey Ines, that is SO cool!!  I haven't used that feature yet, but I will soon.  Thanks for sharing.

05/24/2007 02:41 PM by Vickie Arcuri - Ft. Lauderdale Luxury Homes (EWM Realtors- Esslinger-Wooten-Maxwell, Inc.)

wow... looks great !

I've been tempted to play around with vflyer to see if I can make it work for mortgages too!

05/24/2007 02:49 PM by Boca Raton Florida & Boynton Beach Florida Mortgage Loans

I heard about v-flyer from JT last night. THanks for sharing. I am definitely going to check it out.

05/24/2007 02:51 PM by John Evarts (Classic Property Management of Santa Clarita)

Jeremiah - I know that there are other great products out there, I like to focus on the ones with great customer service.

Missy - I have not been using them long - but have to agree with you.

Mike C - the tools out there are pretty amazing - how can we find them all?

Leigh - thank you!!  that means a lot to me coming from you - I would really like to think that!

Lola - I have not really needed their technical support but I clicked on "widgets" and copied the code to my static site.....and wow!  Pretty easy and pretty amazing.....now if they would allow for more customization of that widget, it would be great.

Mott - Oliver is doing a great job of contacting people here.

05/24/2007 03:14 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Vickie - they do have a free version and then have the option to upgrade - that's how I tried them out.

David - that's a good question for them - I would shoot them an e-mail

John - I'm glad you mentioned Jeff Turner, because when I think "customer service", he's the first one that comes to mind - his product in Real Estate Shows is superior to anything else I've seen and they are always working to improve it.

So Jeff....if you are reading this....YOU ROCK!

05/24/2007 03:19 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Very cool Rick & Ines...this that is customer service and a very cool widget indeed.  Good luck and keep up the great posts.  You two rock!

05/24/2007 03:19 PM by Boise Idaho Real Estate - George Tallabas (RE/MAX Advantage)

Wow!  That's great!   I'm also impressed with your site and your willingness to invest in in your business this way.  Can you recommend any other "tech savvy" marketing products?  Is there anything out there for use in a listing presentation?

Christina

05/24/2007 04:21 PM by Christina Palopoli (inc.)

wow 10 seconds!!?!! you must be some kind of jeanious!!!

it looks like i should look into this. do i need listings first or can i promote others ;)

05/24/2007 04:27 PM by Nick M -Realtor®-Appraiser in West Palm- South Florida Real Estate Appraiser (Certified Residential Appraiser- West Palm Beach Real Estate)

Ines, you can't beat that kind of customer service, more business should take a page from this.  It is a great way to turn a service into a sale.

05/24/2007 06:23 PM by George Souto (McCue Mortgage Co.)

Ines- That is really impressive - and a great customer service tool - I like the widget format too!

05/24/2007 06:29 PM by No Longer Active Albany & Brownsville OR Real Estate (No Longer Active)

George - thanks....as long as people read, I'll keep writing.

Christina - now that you ask - I recommend Real Estate Shows- they even have a free trial and special for Active Rainers.

Oh!!  and I hear that Real Estate Shows is going to come up with a flyer feature that's going to blow our minds away .....sorry Jeff.....I hope that doesn't mean pressure!

If you go back to Jeff Turner's posts, you'll find a ton of great tools like Jott, Wufoo, polldaddy......That's why some call him "gadget man", "tool boy" or "tool boy turner"

Nicky Mississippi - did you have any doubts?  : )  As for promoting other listings, I think it's a good idea to ask the listing agent's permission.....but that's me.

George - I'm with you.

Alecia - they do have a couple of different formats for you to choose from.

05/24/2007 07:47 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Ines:  I  had seen things around about V Flyers - but your application of them makes them so appealing.  Thanks for the thumbs up.

05/24/2007 08:40 PM by Beth Butler - EWM Realtors

Thanks for sharing this cute little trick.  This looks like it is just too fun.  Could you insert this cute little guy into an email signature?   That would be just way cool.

05/24/2007 08:41 PM by Lea Deo, Realtor-Shawnee, KS (Keller Williams Legacy)

You've certainly gotten my attention about this site.  Thanks for your efforts---I'm off to check it out right now.

05/24/2007 08:48 PM by Diane Bell, Hilton Head Real Estate, Bluffton (Charter 1 Real Estate, Hilton Head, Bluffton, SC)

Ok, So I'm on my way to V-Flyer.  Thanks for sharing.

05/24/2007 09:13 PM by Judi Barrett (Integrity Real Estate Services)

Ines - I was just on Missy Caulk's blog and was admiring her V-flyers and thinking of asking her about them.  Then I come over here and it's the topic of your post today.  Amazing!

Is there a company that will send out electronic flyers to agents in my area?  I spent the afternoon sending out e-mails about a price reduction on one of my listings to various agents.  My market area is not one that people tend to put into their MLS searches, so I have to do some outreach work.

05/24/2007 09:52 PM by Gail Robinson, GRI, e-PRO - Black Rock Connecticut Real Estate (William Raveis Real Estate)

Thanks for sharing the widget. It appears to be a very useful one.

05/24/2007 10:04 PM by Sharon Simms St Pete Florida CRS CIPS CLHMS (RE/MAX Metro)

Beth - here's the cool thing, I added 3 new listings today and didn't have to go back and change all the codes...the listings appear automatically everywhere I have to little widgets, is that cool or what?

Lea - what a great idea!  I may have to try that.

Diane - I think everyone went to check it out at the same time, because their system was really slow tonight.

Judi - see?  we were all there at the same time.

Gail - there are tons of companies that has those agent lists - what I do is pay attention to those flyers I receive that I like, and then I research the company.

Ardell - you can change the colors by the way.

Sharon - I wonder if Real Estate Shows will also do a widget?

05/24/2007 10:19 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Ines - Thanks, I'll pay more attention to my inbox instead of hitting delete.  I had gotten a promotional e-mail today from a company called iAnnexFlyer, but when I tried to create a flyer using their template it disappeared when I hit "Save".  The customer service rep then told that I couldn't load pictures with a long file name, etc., but there was no warning and no instructions about this.  All my info was lost.  Very annoying.

05/24/2007 10:35 PM by Gail Robinson, GRI, e-PRO - Black Rock Connecticut Real Estate (William Raveis Real Estate)

Gail - you better read those!!!  do unto others...remember?  : )

05/24/2007 10:37 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Ines - Exactly -- if everyone else does that, there's no point in sending the flyers out in the first place!  That darned Golden Rule!

05/24/2007 11:16 PM by Gail Robinson, GRI, e-PRO - Black Rock Connecticut Real Estate (William Raveis Real Estate)

Ines.... yes I'm reading this. Thank you. And yes... we have a few surprises coming. :)

05/25/2007 12:42 AM by Jeff Turner (Real Estate Shows)

Thanks for sharing, Ines. I am just getting started with vflyer - great to have some a good report from another user. Seems like it is pretty easy to set up, etc.

Jeff

05/25/2007 12:47 AM by Jeff Dowler ~ Carlsbad Real Estate (RE/MAX Associates)

Gail -  : )

Tool Boy in the house!!!  I knew I would get your attention.....I can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

Jeff - I'm sure you'll find plenty of use for it.  The biggest pain is uploading photos and the fact that you cannot change their order after they are uploaded.

05/25/2007 12:53 AM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Rick,

Glad that you're happy with their product. The great lesson about that is the call Oliver made. Thanking you for using his product. Excellent marketing.

05/25/2007 11:43 AM by Esko Kiuru - Las Vegas NV Mortgage Consultant (Sinifox Financial)

I've not given them a try yet. I just might now. Thanks for the tip.

05/25/2007 11:52 AM by Keith Jeppson - Salt Lake City Real Estate (Keller Williams Utah Realty)

Esko - (it's Ines.....Rick does't blog....yet) - and I agree with you, is not so much the product, but the customer service.

Keith - my pleasure!

05/25/2007 11:57 AM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Awesome and easy way to show your listings!  Soon we won't need Realtors or loan officers!

05/25/2007 01:00 PM by Ramsey Yount (Signature Lending Group, Inc)

Ramsey - that will never happen, at least with those of us who add value to the business.

05/25/2007 02:23 PM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

Great idea here. I will go over and check them out today. It's hard to keep up with so many good ideas to use in promoting our business. Thanks!!!!

05/30/2007 07:41 AM by Lizette Fitzpatrick, Kentucky Real Estate (Central Kentucky - Prudential Don Foster)

Lizette - there are similar companies that offer widgets and different toys for listings - like Postlets and v-flyer and now Real Estate Shows will also have some kind of flyer capabilities - go see what they have to offer.

05/30/2007 08:38 AM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

I will check it out. The widget is awesome looking. (I am wondering if it only does current listings or if you can do your solds too?) I will see... Thanks!
