Wow, it's May already and I'm running a little behind - as usual!

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Richard Weisser Realty

Spring FlowersI can't believe it's the fourth day of May already. The year is slipping by quickly. Graduation time is just around the corner, and the spring garden chores are all long overdue.

I've already missed several deadlines-like filing my income tax returns. I really need to get going on those because the "second" deadline will be here before you know it.

And now the cars are due for emissions inspections and new tags, and I need to get on that just in case something goes wrong. It's just one task after another.

I guess that life is just a long series of deadlines. Every day is fraught with thoughts of either something that needs to be done or something that I forgot to do. I hate it when a perfectly good day is suddenly interrupted by suddenly remembering a deadline that has to be met right away!

That reminds me, I need to get to the office. I have some paperwork to file before the deadline expires!

Richard - but you did get your office moved, hope you can now find your needed paperwork to meet your other deadlines, especially that tax thing.

It is so true, I always think this way, life is full of deadlines. When do I finish everything on time. The moment I think, I did finish, something else will come up as over due. Good luck.

I'm sure the fellas in the dark suits and glasses are on their way to your office.  Maybe you could switch your namplate with the desk of someone nearby, and they could take him back to the pokey with them, instead of you?

Thanks Richard!  Try as I may, getting everything done before crunch time just doesn't always work.  I'm glad to know I'm in good company! ;-}

I like the assistant idea, but then that costs money!  Ugh, oh well maybe you will miss so many deadlines you won't have them anymore.

Isn't it amazing how time flies and the older you get, not saying that you are old mind ya, the faster it flies by.  I cannot believe that we are almost thru the first half of the year.

Taxes and real estate have the same dead lines. Which do you do first? Make sure you will have income in the Spring or pay taxes? Well... that's a no brainer!

I finally got my car tags on 11 months late.  I was pulled over the other day, and the patrolman said he could have impounded my car.  EEEKKK.  When I prioritize, the important stff goes on top.  That wasn't one of them.

OK, maybe I'll start working on my taxes. Sounds like you'll be doing your too. And advise?

Richard I don't procrastinate, I just like to leave something to do for tomorrow. lol I would drop everything and do the taxes though, the IRS kind of frowns on missed deadlines especially if you owe them money. Keep trucking and have a good week.

Deadlines are great motivators for getting tasks completed.  We should do that in our business ... put deadlines on when to contact our clients, etc. to assure it is done and in a timely fashion.  Good luck with those dates!

Richard:  I'm like you.  Worried more about my clients' impending deadlines than my own.  Also was behind in getting my car inspections/emissions this year.  Thankfully not the income taxes though.

Hi Richard...  Deadlines???  We don't need no stinkin' deadlines!

Seriously, though, in real estate, keeping track of deadlines is SO crucial... hope your day in the office was a productive one!

I did get my taxes done on time, but my car inspection is due this month as well and I have to get my annuals in around Mother's Day.  So many deadlines, so little time to make them!  xxoo
