Public Relations is an ongoing task of any professional. You can be your own PR manager. And the price is right! One of the easiest ways to get publicity is to send a press release to your local newspaper. If you're in a small to medium size town, the newspaper is read by many residents. Here's the one we just published. The associations you belong to sometimes even have "canned" formats for you to cut/paste/edit.
Another way is to call the newspaper and ask to be interviewed on a real estate topic. The interview can be done on the phone, and you can email photos, if appropriate.
