Sandy Mountain Days are right around the corner...

What are the Sandy Mountain Days you ask? It is a festival for everyone. This year's theme is "Strike up the Band". John L. Scott Sandy is working on a float for the parade to oooh and aaah the crowd. (Sorry, can't tell you what is is...it's a secret!!!) You will have to come on down on July 12th, 2007 to find out.

The Parade is a big crowd draw, as is the local booths from businesses and farmer's alike. The beer garden is also popular with the 21 and older crowd. Come on down to the great little city of Sandy, Oregon and see what kind of food, fun and sight you can find. Fun for the while family!

I'll post more about this local event in the days to come...stay tuned.

Valerie, this sounds like fun! I love parades. They take me back to my childhood days when everything was much simpler. I look forward to seeing your pictures from the event!

Here in Valparaiso we have a Popcorn Festival, yep popcorn, but any festival is great by me. A time for the community to celebrate ... community. We're all too busy and a festival is a time to make sure we remember grandma and apple pie. Have a great time at this year's Sandy Mountain Days!
