Just sent out my May newsletter.  As much trouble as it is, I have found that clients truly enjoy getting the newsletter.  I send it out to almost 400 people on a monthly basis and about 85% get opened every month.  It is so much easier than traditional mailing and it is great exposure as often it will be forwarded to a friend.

If you don't do a newsletter, I strongly encourage you to look into it.  It is a tremendous marketing tool that only requires a few hours a month.

Tell me about your newsletter, we can share ideas and maybe get some good new ones in the process.

Thanks

Do you write your own or is it done professionally.  Our association has ClientDIRECTTM , you can select from a library of written articles, personalized it or create your own and its free for California REALTORS®.

We send out a newsletter each month to our clients. We have many great tips and real estate investment advice from my Network of professionals. It gives them a chance to be the featured vendor of the month. They give away specials. Keep it consistent and fun

It is the cost and the time it takes to send a newletter that prevents me from doing it every month.

The newsletter is emailed.  Each email has a forward feature as well as a subscribe feature.  I am suprised to see how many newsletters are forwarded and then new subscribers.  I see where Fernando mentioned the time and cost.  It takes me only a few hours to put the newsletter together and with companes like IContact the cost is about $10.00 a month.  To me that is worth the new business it generates.  It also keeps my company in front of former clients and often they forward it to a friend that is thinking about buying or selling.  I frequently get emails from former clients letting me know they forwarded it to a friend so they could have my contact info.

It is definately worth the time and because I write them myself, they can include personal information like a congratulations note to new buyers or new listing announcements.  Sellers love getting a newsletter that has thier property featured on it.

Try it!  Trust me!
