There are several sides to the whole link exchange methodology and effectiveness.
I am a firm believer in link exchanges, aside from personal usage on different industry sites, I have seen others' reap the many benefits of link exchanges.

Its a cool little site, you get a thumbnail image of your site next to your discription and you can also check how many people clicked thru to your site.
