OK, this is a warning for anyone thinking of getting cork flooring. This cork flooring is billed as the most comfortable, environmentally friendly, and quiet floor you will ever own. But, I’m here to tell you for the first couple days, it was amazing, and we loved it. But, after that the more we walked on it the more I began to dislike this flooring.

Maybe it was all the tacks and post-its I was putting on it to remind myself to do stuff when I woke up.

Stepping on a tack or two could change my enthusiasm over something. Funny post!

It would probably help me organize a little better. I have stuff laying all over.

my cork floor is great, although we had to empty a lot of wine bottles to get enough to cover the whole thing.  I think it was worth it though.

If it is not on the wall with notes on it, or keeping me from a bottle of wine, what is the point of cork?

This is too funy! Have heard about these cork floors. Heard they used for floors in hospitals in Europe. Maybe padded cells?

If we are going green. . .why don't we go all the way. .dirt floors ! now that is environmentally friendly and you don't have to sweep

Todd, Yeah, but just think...when your wife says "put a cork in it," you just have to sit down. Rich

Green is in. You dont have to like it you just have to be environmentally friendly. Oh and they installed sticky stuff on post its (you don't have to use the tacks anymore).

I really like Robert's cork floors.  I don't know anything about cork floors.  I thought they were an underlayment for other substances to cut down noise in condos.

Todd, I think I will shy away from the cork flooring! I think a good "green" option is bamboo! It is really beautiful! Maybe that you will not be tempted to post notes to!! Haha!

This is a great blog to wake up to and read. Put a smile on my face reading all the comments on here and my Wife would really love to have a floor like Robert W. May up at #3. That would mean she had that many good days.

Todd --- that is too funny.  As Robert said about making a cork floor out of wine corks, I have emptied enough wine bottles, but no cork floor.

Hi Todd, That was pretty funny. I've thought about cork too, but went with tiles; but doesn't take tacks as well.

Ray - Another reason I didn't go with Lego flooring also - lol

Chuck - Gives you more places to store stuff, that is for sure.

Robert - You mean I could have saved money by hanging out at the wineries? DANG IT!

And who knew cork comes from a tree?  I thought is came from the ocean, until I listed a home in Fair Oaks with 5 Cork Oak trees.  They strip off the bark, which grows back, and cut it into cork... so it's totally green. Whoknew...?

I have never seen a cork floor and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want one.  Although, you are getting a lot of comic relief out of yours!
