I think it's more than thistle on kool-aid, unless there is something rather interesting in that kool-aid! LOL

That would make good wall art in my marijuana room office.

Ahhh, Gail. I see you not only drank the Kool-Aid this morning, but you also added the frame too! Isn't it nice when you get a tutorial AND actually implement it right away so you never forget how to do it!

Hi Lisa...I think I saw the same pictures from space, they were amazing!

Oh Jim....definitely more than Kool-Aid.  The name comes from a story about Ken Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters.  The book is called "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test"  It actually pre-dates Woodstock...Nouf said ;-)

Ah Mary....I knew you would get it too ;-)  You still have your black light and I still have my '70's blue jeans....too bad the they don't fit anymore!

LOL @Sharon...be careful what you wish for.  Check out my comment to Jim Frimmer then tell me if you still want some ;-)

Gail - So cool that you know of "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test".

One of my prized possessions is my autographed picture of Kesey and the Merry Pranksters atop the bus "Further"!

For those of you who don't know, here is the bus.....

The bus come by and I got on...that's when it all began.....

Gail - It reminds me of something right out of the 1960s, Woodstock, Burning Man, or the Grateful Dead!  I love it:-)

Hey Gail, it's autographed by Kesey himself! I had purchased long before I met him a Merry Pranksters calendar. For some reason, I kept it long after the year had come and gone. Then one day in NYC, Kesey, along with Wavy Gravy, was hosting an art show of some of his works. I brought that calendar and a Sharpie with me just in case I had an opportunity. He laughed so hard when he saw it! Looked through the pictures on each month and then gladly signed it.

Oh, that's SO bitchin' man! Far out!

OMG- I hadn't thought of any of that stuff in YEARS! Gail, you've outdone yourself with this outstanding walk down memory lane! Great manipulation on the photo, and the frame is groovy too!

Hi Myrl...that was my intention!  Hmmm...did we meet back then, I did travel around a bit ;-)

Craig...that is a great story and I'm so happy you shared it with us.  I can just see you doing this too.  Now I'm going to have to look up Wavy Gravy as I'm clueless on this name.  More homework!  It was fun times back then, I think I read the book in the early 70's.  Canada was always lagging a year or two behind the States.  We were spared much of the bad attitudes against those that served.  I've never understood that.  A topic for another time..........

Debou...you are too funny in a very far-out kinda way.  Do you still have your bellbottoms?  I will never throw mine out, they are a work of art too.....LOL  I'm glad you found this trip fun, hahahaha!!

Hi Sharon...it's a pretty wild book but these people lived and they are a documentary to the times.

Mike...by golly, I think she did.  She was having a flashback man!!!

That rocks Gail.  Would have loved to have had this in my room when I was a teenager.  Had lots of cool stuff that my Aunties handed down to me from the 60's.

Ok, Gail...I love this photo but now I read the comments...a little backwards!

I agree with Myrl ....this does remind me of Grateful Dead!  Did you ever go to concert?

And Gail.....I am a HUGE Adam Lambert fan and could not even believe he was in the bottom three.  But last night...singing one of my all time FAVORITE Zeppelin songs....he was so GREAT!  When he started, I thought "oh no...who could do this song justice besides Robert Plant"?  But...he really did pull it off, I think!!

CRAP - I just wrote a darn book here responding to Jess, Tammy and Debra and lost it when I went to look up a song without opening a new tab.  Sure would be nice if A|R saved our comments in draft so this wouldn't happen.  Sorry guys, don't have it in me to re-create at the moment...I'll try again later.  Maybe it's a sign to let sleeping dogs lie, hmmm.......there was some good stuff there tho ;-)

Gail- That is really neat.  I made an accidental adjustment in Photoshop once on a house I was working on and got a similar effect.  I hit "undo" so fast ----  it never occurred to me that it could have been art.  Yours needs to be in a gallery somewhere ..... San Fran possibly???? :)

Morning Jess...there are several of us here who also love to play.  Keep you eyes on Debi Boucher, Mary Douglas and Craig Rutman.  Things can get pretty silly sometimes ;-)  Did you take the photo above....very artistic!!!  p.s. you KNOW what's in the Kool-Aid......cheeky girl!

Hi Tammy...how fun is that!!!  Did you keep any of the stuff they gave you?  I still have blue jeans and a tie-dyed shirt from the 70's that I won't part with.....too many memories

Hey Debra....thanks for the links, it sure doesn't take long to get this stuff up on YouTube.  Adam is an entertainer that hasn't been seen since Elvis Presley.  If he can keep his music somewhat mainstream his future is bright indeed.  He's the best I've seen on American Idol....I can't say enough about him.  Saw quite a few concerts but don't recall seeing the Grateful Dead....LOL  Canada didn't always bring the bands in.

LOL @Steve....San Fran works, I need a manager....interested?

Gail...... That picture is part of series of 4 shots. It was an artistic series I did showing movement in each capture to create a dancing effect. The series is called Shadow Dancer - a set on Flickr...too much Kool- Aid can be a good thing!

Thanks,  Jess

Hey Jess....I looked at some of your work at Flickr and see that you take your photography seriously.  I'm still very much a neophyte but feel the same.  BTW - Haven't drank Kool-Aid in years, gave it up for vino ;-)
