The Good News, finally.

I know it's been a long time coming, but good things often are.  After a long, dreary and particularly chilly, winter.  Spring is finally here.

And perhaps Spring in the economic sense also.  The news, as we are all aware of, has not been good.  Economic, political and spiritual crisis still evade most of our daily lives.  However, hope is beginning to show if we know how to adjust our vision and see it for what it is.  What Ben Bernanke refers to as "green shoots" in the economy.

It seems as though everyone has been angry, bitter or in denial of our current financial crisis for the better part of the last six months.  But humankind, in general and Americans especially, are a resilient bunch and in most cases, once we get past the anger and denial, crisis and chaos can lead to creativity and a better understanding of how we got here and how to avoid negative situations in the future.  It is that creative spirit that is beginning to come to the forefront, at least from my perspective.

Instead of the gloom and doom I've been hearing for the last half year, I'm beginning to see individuals coming up with some creative ways to weather current market conditions.  At a Realtor meeting recently, Agents shared their success stories instead of their frustration.  Competitors are working together for the betterment of the industry as a whole.  More people are attending our local networking group and getting involved with other individuals who can help them grow their business.  Home sellers are coming to grips with price concerns and embracing the Staging Industry in Central Ohio.

Most importantly in the Real Estate industry, homes are selling, at least in my little part of the world.  And, if they are selling here, they can sell for you too.  Perhaps folks have begun to accept our current situation and are learning to adapt as humans have for tens of thousands of years.

As Stagers and other Real Estate professionals, it is our responsibility to help people function from a place of knowledge and relative serenity instead of fear and panic.  As Real Estate professionals this is the most important aspect of what we do.

Coming up: Embracing the Dandelions, our new paradigm.

If we could all just move forward, it would help a bunch. Thanks for a great post.
