Even Nature Changes - Do You ??

Even mother nature understands that change is good.  Nothing stays the same always. You may have longer summers in one state than another, but change is inevitable. So why is it we think we can just stay the same and not get stagnant?

It doesn't matter what your current profession is - this mentality affects us as peole first and that rolls into our professional and family life.

So here is my recipe for change!!

Nothing like deep cleaning to make the house feel fresh, especially with the upcoming cold months ahead. Pulling out all the old never used items, dusting off the boxes in the basement, scrubbing those places you have chosen to forget or had no time to get to. Donating the stuff you keep looking at to your church or goodwill.

Why not do that with the old dusty way of doing things in our jobs, ways of thinking about issues and attitudes in our hearts. You know that once in a while we all need to relook at ourselves and ask "when did I last do a deep cleaning of myself"

As much of us can agree, it is so very easy to get stuck in a rut, same way of doing things, same routine day in and day out and we wonder why we have lost our joy in it. How excited is a rat in a cage going round and round? How dull. If we are dull, then those around us can become dull, our relationships suffer, our attitude suffers and overall we suffer.

So, its time to get the swifter out and dust off those places in ourselves that haven't changed in along time. You know what they are. Self examination with brutal honesty. Could be we lost interest in our job because the market hit a bottom so we stopped applying effort. Our finances joined the rock bottom club and we stopped enjoying life. Maybe we just sort of felt like we only exist everyday just to see tomorrow. FORGET IT. That is a yesterday attitude.

Today is a new day and there is so much to do and so many people whose lives need to be touch by us. We can make a difference and it is up to us to pick ourselves up by the bootstraps and dust off the old ways of thinking and start to see new ideas and have new attitudes. A new season to begin with zeal and hunger for life again.

Educate yourself, join new organizations or clubs, start spending time with your loved ones and friends. Take the day and do what you want to do. There is so much that life has to offer and when we start to take it all in, it can not help put pour out into the lives of those around us.

Shake, rattle and roll that old way of thinking right off and embrace the freshness of a new way of doing things.

You are so right.  A couple weeks I completely cleaned off my desk and filed papers.  For months the desk with piled with stacks of files, and although I knew where everything was, it just made it slower to find things.

Cleaning up, clearing out, shaking up our energy makes way for the new.  And oh, how about the wardrobe? Most of us have been a little pressed with the economy in the past couple of years, and even a fun new accessory brightens both the look and our mood.

Amen!  It is so hard to get a "to-do" list together, sometimes.  Often, it requires another party to point out that "maybe that old dusty piece needs to go, and this place could use a good clean".  Not that I have ever heard that regarding my living space!
