I normally don't like fruitcakes, but I do like all the other good stuff, i.e. baked breads, pastries..

Hey, I think I read somewhere that they were going to open one around here in Waco. Any truth to that?  I have never tried the fruitcake. Is it good? Should I?

Hi Wendy!  Yes, there will be a Collin Street Bakery in Waco - soon!  It is on Interstate 35 at State Highway 31.  They are also planning to open a fourth store on Interstate 20 near Canton in the Fall of '09.

I personally don't eat fruitcake - I love everything else they bake!  Cookies - pastries (they do offer free samples of cookies - so you can try before you buy).  The building appears to be a replica of the newest store in Corsicana.  It is beautiful!  Enjoy when it opens!

Renee - Very good information for your local community.  You even made the fruit cake sound appetizing.  All the best.

Renee, Our daughter graduated from UNT and I can't tell you how many times we took that trip from Spring to Denton and I would see the sign for Collins Bakery.  I always wanted to stop but never had the time.  It sounds wonderful.
