End of Every Month

It is that time again!  The end of a month.  

The reason it holds significance is that most, if not all settlements are scheduled at the end of the month.  Why?  Well in another blog post I'll explain it in detail, but lets just say for now that buyers "think" it is cheaper to settle at the end of a month as opposed to say mid month.   Anyway, this is the point in a transaction when everything comes together and with that the last minute "problems" arise.  

If you hired an experienced "REALTOR", then most, if not all the problems are dealt with behind the scenes and the client has no idea what is being done in their behalf.  If you are going it alone or you bought a "FISBO" (for sale by owner) then you need to deal with the problems.  The thing you need to remember is that there are very few "problems" that can't be overcome.  You just really need to keep your cool and work things out rationally.  The trouble comes in when you lose your control and get emotional.   

Real estate transactions are 10% logic and 90% emotions, so you can see how easy it is to loose it.    Stay cool, keep your head and work things out with the other party.  Compromise is the key.  Being bull headed doesn't solve anything.
