Have you ever tried a new hairstyle?

Just recently I decided to try a new do... I had a few gray hairs (Norwegian blonde) well I could see them. My husband said gray hair is a sign of wisdom, well I reiterated with I have enough wisdom to know I can get this hair colored!!!!  Then instead of going to my normal beautician I went to the beauty college here in my neck of the woods. (Do you see where I'm going with this yet?)

Well when I walked in, for my appointment, I was directed to a chair with a slender, dark haired, mutli- pierced and tattooed young woman. I sat down and proceeded to explain to this soon to graduate senior that I wanted dark streaks (chestnut brown) throughout my brown hair and a few very blonde steaks up in the crown area. I wasn't gonna be frightened away by a few piercings and tattoos... I was determined to follow through with this hair appt. (?????)

I arrived at this location at 9:30 AM, at 1:30 PM I was finished, now the hair I currently own would look good on a younger woman, but I now have what is called a black under shadowing? With white and Carmel (kinda orange) streaks, well what was I saying about wisdom earlier? My 12 year old says it's totally cool and that she is jealous!!!!!!!!! I noticed some emo hairstyles very similar to my own at this point in time... I am currently weighing my options, and trying to figure out how to once again look like a REAL ESTATE Professional!

You may now laugh as I and my husband have been doing for a few days, while carefully using great wisdom prior to making my next move.

What no picture? LOL...how can we make a comment then?  The "color scene" has changed alot lately..I have seen some WILD colors out there.  Me?  I am sticking with my highlights that the MAN upstairs has given me because I got tired of the "apprentices" at my old (can you figure out that one?) hair salon place messing up and burning my hair!  Had to go from shoulder length to s-h-o-r-t but found out that I like my hair being short. So much easier!  Good Luck on the next go round!

I only do short hair, then let it grow a little longer, then short again.  Coloring is basically soft black, then maybe dark brown if I can't find soft black.  I color my own hair once a month.  I have not tried exotic coloring.  Once every two years, I might try a body wave.  My husband likes my hair long and straight.  I look younger with short hair.

I'm with everyone else -- wanting to see the "new you"!  Just saw another very successful and professional realtor I work with from Corvallis at a new listing -- she was sporting some maroon colored chunky highlights -- looked very fun!  The great thing about hair color is that its pretty easy to change!  Just enjoy it -- in 6 weeks you'll have roots and need to change it anyway!
