I'm always looking for what is coming down the pipes which will be new and exciting in the interior design/decorating field.

What will be the next big trend colour, what colours are going to be the staple for years to come, who's the hot new designers to watch...questions I'm always asking. I had not thought about one aspect of design I realized.

So I went looking and I have to say, I think you will be very excited! Yes, you can thank me! LOL

Technology in my mind was the newist insulation, wind turbine, non-toxic glue etc. Technology was therefore mostly about the materials. I have design software...but I'm terrible slow at it and therefore always chose drafting paper and scaled drawing.

To me, design software (that's a hint) has become sononamous with 'evil' and ment to 'break me' reduce me to tears curled up in a ball in the corner of my office.

Till today!

Great.  I just do manual drafting as well.  It would be useful to keep track of floor layouts at hand.

Dane, you're excited about this because it's phone compatible or because it appears simple?  Have you used Icovia's product?  It's free, it easily and from this video it does almost everything that they showed us.  Available through most large furniture manufacturer's like Thomasville.  If it something else in this product that excites you then share that with us.

Ginger, to be able to pull out your pPhone and take a photo of a tile or carpet...anything, and show a client what it would look like in there space is incredible. What's not to get excited about?

I think $4.99 is almost free too!

Julie, Amy, I think it's pretty cool too! There are times when I'm not able to sit in front of my computer but could work on furniture layouts, trying out different colours anything. Like sitting in the Dr. office or anywhere I find myself without my computer.

You are welcome Sea to Sky!

Isabel, hi!

I love this Dane.  There's a lot to be said to share with a prospect, while at the home, the visual you have planned for their home.  For an occupied, the home owner is typically looking for solutions on how to arrange the room.  This would allow for some "instant" suggestions.

Thanks for sharing.  I'm going to bookmark and look to get this application.

I to usually manually draft...I do not use CAD or Icovia very often and I find its just to time consuming. If I could just shoot a photo..well I be checking this out too. Thanks for sharing.
