Before you quote your next deal make sure you are current on the new rates across Michigan for Title Insurance.

A lot of companies are not telling you til the last minute because of course that is the last thing you want to hear - that title insurance rates have gone up... but you need to know and this is across the state with every underwriter for 2009!

Example:

The old rates for Michigan Title Insurance were: For a $250,000.00 sale the rates were: Owners Rate = $1,135 and Simultaneous (Buyer's) $454.00 Totalling = $1,589.00

*Now for a $250,000.00 sale the rates are: Owners Rate = $1,080.50 Simultaneous (Buyer's) $ 565.50 Totalling = $1,646.00

Boy- That could catch us all unware. I will have to check out Montana and see if the rates have changed.
