New Theme Thursday - New Theme for your ActiveBlog! Our Easy Going Theme

Finally, the return of New Theme Thursday! This week we are rolling out a new theme titled: Easy Going. This clean looking theme features a slick background and rounded corners which I personally enjoy! Here is a screenshot of my Outside Blog:

Easy Going Theme

We will be introducing new themes on Thursdays so make sure to check back for the new stuff. Remember, changing your theme is a simple deal. All you have to do is head over to your outside blog after clicking on the link from the left hand side of your 'my home' page. Once on your outside blog, click the 'theme' link up at the top of the page and select the theme you want to use.

If you don't have a custom ActiveBlog on your own domain yet, Brad Andersohn takes you through the step by step of how to get it set up. For those of you who have recently signed up for the Rainmaker upgrade, your ActiveBlog is included in your upgrade so make sure to get it set up.

Is there any way for me to customize my own theme, I want it to fit with my website and I have a developer to do it but there is no place for me to do so, is this coming down the pipeline? Or a case by case thing?

Right now Heather that is not an option. Possibly down the road there will be the ability to customize things a little more. We do have some more themes that will be rolling out over the next several weeks. But for now, the only ones available are themes present.

Jeremy - Thanks for the update. Love these new themes. Getting a collection of them now.

Hey Jeremy ! I just changed my outside blog (Sellingrenoandsparks.com) theme to the Easy Going Theme! I think it is my favorite one so far, next to my personal "Northern Nevada Resource" theme I use most.

I will be looking for the new theme next week! Thanks!

I need to get my outside blog, I am still hanging on the "inside"! :( I am so stretched right now though, and can't quit fit it into my budget. I will someday, and by that time I am sure you guys will have the customizable theme. Thanks for the info! :)

Howdy there Jeremy

It sure would be nice if ActiveRain, would start makeing things here to help promte the Home Inspector members of the community. Seen that I was told a few mouth ago, by AR. That they were going to.

It sure would be nice, to have AR add at the bottom of all blog post page's a link to find Home Inspector members of AR, in each State, like they do for Real Estate Agents in every State.

Find NH real estate agents and Charlestown real estate on ActiveRain.

Most of us are really active in the community also.

The theme looks great. I need to catch up on the changes, improvements, and options on the outside blog. A couple months off, I missed some stuff.

Dale- These themes that have rolled out last week and this week are made to target at home inspectors as well. As for searching for home inspectors...I had no problem searching for them. Here are all the inspectors in NH.

In your opinion, would it be better to frequently change the look of one's outside blog or to find one and stick with it?

Irene, that is a tough one. I would probably say a balance can be good. Unless you have one of the major Brand Themes running. You want something that people will come to recognize and be familiar with. But it is also good to mix it up from time to time and give it a fresh new feel. People will recognize that too and spend time trying to figure out all the new features.

Jeremy - I love your posts. I can't wait to see the new theme. I try a new one every few weeks and see how they 'fit'. It's great having options. Thanks for all the hard work!

Jeremy - Looks good. I haven't gotten around to settling on my there yet. I've been using the Exit one, but I'm not happy with it. In reference to Heather's comment, perhaps that's one way ActiveRain can monetize the site. Hire your very own developers. They probably do themes in their sleep. Might be something to consider if more people keep asking. They could even possibly pick up some side work if ActiveRain didn't want to be a part of it.

I totally love this theme, now if I can just figure how to get this outside blog thing going for myself!

Jeremy... I love my outside blog!!! I have 5 email addresses directed to it right now! It's awesome that AR has so many sharp themes and options. Great job.

EWWW! I LOVE my outside blog and will take a look at changing it to the 'easy going' look! I may elect to keep the one that I have but, I LOVE options!!
