Life Chaotic? You against the World? One bad thing after another?........You're on a Roll...Will life ever be the same sane?  Tough to believe but maybe you're looking a gift horse in the mouth? Arghhh!

They say that 'lessons learned are like bridges burned...you never have to cross them twice '....hmmm

Lets take a 'deep breath' and just imagine.....that having a bad day can show you that it is time to slow down, change course, or lighten up.  A bad day can help you grow in wisdom in an area you might otherwise have overlooked or discounted. Uncomfortable?  Yes!  But it just may also give you a potent opportunity to learn about yourself.

If you give yourself....half a chance.

What does Your Bad Day look like?  Miss an important meeting because you ran out of gas.  Hair dryer break down and now you're having a bad hair day? You received that dreaded call with very bad news earlier in the morning.

When it seems like one thing after another goes wrong it can leave us feeling vulnerable and fragile.  It might even make us feel 'victimized'... But bad days can only have a long-term negative effect on us if we let them.  Maybe the best thing to do that day is stay home and hibernate rather then share your 'negative glow'....Or you could let go of your growing negativity.

Bad days help makes us the people we are.  Discouraged and distressed on your bad day? Yep but it can also teach us about patience and perseverance. It can grow our courage.

The good news is that one negative experience does not have the power to become an ongoing stroke of bad luck.  But it can be memorable because it is one day among many good days.  We've all heard that you can't appreciate the good - unless you experience the bad.  No the world is not against you.  Tomorrow will be a brighter day.  And if not tomorrow?  Well then the day after that...;-)

We have a saying in Croatia ...:"Poslje Kise Dolazi Sunce"  ...After the Rain comes the Sunshine.  It always has.  It always will.  :-)

Hi Liz... Excellent advice.  A bad mood or bad news can only snowball into something out of proportion if you allow it to!  As a cowboy would say... "Cut that sucker off at the pass!"

I love you Cowboys Steve! :-)

Jodie - Thinking of them as 'courageous' days puts it in a different light doesn't it?:-)

Without the rain, there wouldn't be sunshine and without the bad days....would we appreciate the good ones? Life is a cycle, it is a journey, not a destination. Encouraging post, Liz.

The best thing about bad days are that they're only 24 hours long...and then a new day begins!

Great post Liz!

Liz --- you are so right "after rain  comes sunshine" --- sometimes we have to look for that sunshine.

I love the picture of the gift horse : )

I'm generally a pretty optimistic, upbeat person and try to stay that way.  I find it so draining to always look at the bad.
