Not with my business and not with my clients, but with taking time for myself and to get back to basics.
Activerain has been very good to me. I write a little about my community, a lot about the mortgage and real estate market, and a little bit about myself and what I do for people to help fulfill their real estate needs. However, the month of April was remarkably busy.
Normally, I have a fairly relaxed schedule and am able to meet clients on fairly short notice and quite conveniently. For the past month, my client list has been expanding at a brisk and exciting rate. The majority of these new clients are referrals from past customers, however many of them find me through my internet presence her on activerain or through one of my websites.
I am doing my best to refrain from spending wasted advertising dollars on print media. In my marketplace the primary real estate paper is of pathetic quality, terribly overpriced, and full of old school real estate salespeople who are still clinging to the sales and marketing tactics that they learned from an old 'Tom Hopkins' book back in 1979. The brand new, straight out of school, young real estate people would be in that trash publication too if they could afford an ad or if they had a listing to promote. Both groups of salespeople are finding that there is less of a place for them in the modern real estate marketplace.
Between new mortgage clients and a handful of real estate clients this past month, the work load has been heavy and successful. There are some who say the market is slow, which is humorous, because I would LOVE a single day off anytime this month. I truly appreciate those who I have had the privilege of working with and cant wait until they start sending me referrals of their own.
I have lots of blogs to catch up on. Lots of reading from my favorite writers, and lots of things that have been on my mind but just haven't made it to publication yet.
Stay tuned, I have lots of people to thank and lots of great stories to share this week.
