I am featuring a community in these photos that I have been posting lately. I am going to feature, in the future, many areas here in our Mountains. You may be looking at this first photo and thinking you are in Pennsylvania Dutch country. Let me assure you this is the North Georgia MountainsWhen you first enter Big Canoe you go through the woods under this wonderful covered Bridge. This is one of a few in the community. Now when you go home to your subdivision at night is this what greets you ? If you take blood pressure medicine you could take less as this entrance way in the woods seems to lowers your pressure by 10 points. If you are in the Greater Atlanta area and work in Alpharetta, or Canton and commute 45 minutes each way to work you could do that from here! If you are thinking about a mountain destination that is convenient to shopping and has amenities consider the gem known as Big Canoe. Now what is the bridge over?Rushing water sounds of pristine Blackwell creek greet you when you enter Big Canoe. So, you come into the woods. You see the covered Bridge reminding one of a scene out of Friendly Persuasion. You are surrounded by green . The sight and sound of Blackwell Creek greet you. You are home. It doesn't get much better than this.

I have a great friend (and appraiser) who lives in Big Canoe. This spring, she had a mama bear and two cubs playing in her yard! Now that's country living...
