Marketing Outside the BAG

Real Estate Agent with Donna Homes, PLR 0480809

Thanks to a great idea from Kristin Moran, I'm doing some marketing outside the box BAG!

Take a look at my new marketing pieces.

Austin TX real estate

Austin TX real estate  Austin TX real estate

I started walking the neighborhood this afternoon.  Boy is it HOT and it's only early May.  I need to finish walking the streets before it gets too hot to keep going.

What I found was in my neighborhood there are LOTS of people home during the day.  I'm not sure if it was just because it was Friday, or if that many people really work from home, but tons of people home.

As I would walk on one side of the street, I would notice my bags disappearing inside the houses on the other side of the street.  A couple waved at me.

People like their reusable bags and people LOVE chip clips, so I put them together.  I put some other marketing stuff inside the bag, but I'm not going to give away all my secrets!

If you are in the Austin area and would like to receive your bag and chip clip, please contact me and I'm sure we could meet at the local HEB or Randall's to exchange them.

Hi Donna~ I like this idea that You and Kristin came up with!  If you don't mind me asking, where was the best place to order them both from?

I have the same question as the two lovely ladies above me, where did you get those? I think they are great, especially the bag as many of our local grocery stores are trying to phase out of paper and plastic. Plus, considering we are very environmentally conscious, this would be a good fit for us. You and Kristin ROCK for this great idea.

Donna - we started with the bags last summer and they were and are hugely popular. One of the places we get them (and other stuff) is 4imprint dot com. Their prices are good, they do a good job and they also often have great clearance items. ~Rita

Donna - What a great idea!  I have seen some printing companies advertised them but I have not tried them.  I think Amsterdam Printing carrries the same line of bags.

Vickie & Gabrielle, Thanks!  And I'll send a separate email with the contact information... I rather not have the competition here in Austin know where I got the best price from!

Dan, You'll get an email too.  Yes, the stores here are saying they're going to stop paper and plastic as well.  I thought I would stand in the parking lot and hand them out.

Rita, I'll have to check their pricing out and compare for my next order!

Rosalinda, The bags are all over, and they're actually all different sizes, even by just a 1/2 inch.  Mine are bigger than what you can buy at the grocery store for $0.99.

Great giveaway items you have come up with Donna. Those chip clips are definitely useful in the kitchen too.

Hi Donna... those look really great!  Do you actually ring the bells when you distribute them so you have a chance to introduce yourself, or just leave them on the doors?

Teresa, Thanks!

Steve, I thought about ringing the bells, but it was 95 degrees, I was hot and sweaty, and not very presentable to really be making a first impression, so I chickened out with the kocking... plus, I don't want it to take a year to hand them out.

Karen Anne, Exactly!

Sandy, Thanks!

These bags seem to be making quite an appearance lately.  Not the RE/MAX bag, but just these types of bags in general.  I think the advertisement is great.

John, There is legislation right now to try to get stores to charge $0.07 a bag if you don't bring your own. I don't see it passing, but every little bit helps.

Bill, Come and get one!
