Get moving, mommy! This is something I have been laughing about for a while, so I wanted to share it.  I hope it will tickle some of you like it did me.  I needed a break from the heavy stuff, so here it is.

This last December, I made the top 20 list for producers in my company.  It was a big deal for us, and we went and picked up several copies of the book we publish when it came out.  It had my picture on the back along with the rest of the top 20.  May daughter thought that was really cool that mommy was in the book!

So, I haven't managed to rank that high since.  Last week we went to the office and picked up a few books for my clients.  My daughter loves to look at them, so she took one with her to the back seat.  A few minutes down the road, she says "Hey, Mommy, where are you?"  I told her "Right here, I'm driving!"

Well, after some back and forth trying to figure out what in the world she was talking about, I figured out that she meant that I was supposed to be on the book, but I wasn't there!  I told her it was because I hadn't sold enough houses.  Well, she knew the answer to that- "Get moving, mommy!"

I still haven't made it back to the back cover, but I'm working on it...

Keep up the great work!  It sounds like your little one is quite the supporter.  You'll make it on the back cover again because she's going to make sure you do. Thanks for sharing with us your story.

Michelle- Yes, they sure are funny.  Her Daddy has told her that if Mommy makes enough money, we can go to Disney world.  She's not quite three, but she SO gets that.

Julie- She is indeed.  I am very lucky to have such a staunch supporter and helper in my career!

Stephanie- Yes, she is very "helpful."  I especially love when she re-programs my Palm for me.  Very helpful.  LOL

Scott- Honestly, I have been pretty lucky.  I think the best thing that I keep in mind is that it IS a numbers game.  So many people have to know you're in the business to get so many referrals, to get so many clients to get just one paycheck.  Don't be discouraged, this is a career that builds over time.  If you are active in the rain, that's one great step forward.

Tell your daughter to "draw your picture" on the cover until you get there on your own...AGAIN!  :-)
