Too Much House For The Money ? Brand New in Fort Worth... 2022 sf for $151,990.

By
Real Estate Agent with New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County

Could It Be ?  Could this actually BE too much home for the money ?  Ummm... so, what's missing ?  Maybe the price of $151,990 only includes the front half of the house ?

Noper.  It's just a lot of home for the money.  And... in an area of west Fort Worth where most of the homes are on more narrow building lots... this home comes on a lot that is actually ten feet wider than is typical for this price.

This four bedroom, two bath home is exceptional.  The Master Suite has a split-master arrangement... with the master suite at the rear of the home.

The master bath has both a garden tub and a separate stall shower... and a huge walk-in closet... plus an additional linen closet.  Very nice.

The gourmet kitchen has oodles of cabinets and counter space... with an extra-wide breakfast/serving bar that opens to the Family Room.  An island is included... and the breakfast nook either comes with a "wall of windows" or a wrap-around five-sided bay-window effect.

The Family Room is huge... and on the rear wall of the Family Room... there is another "wall of windows." Off the breakfast/morning room is an over-sized covered patio.  So many features... at such a reasonable price.

Hi Karen Anne,

I have to admit I have never heard the term "garden tub" before.  I had to look it up.  It sounds like it's a "step up tub"?  We call them "step up tubs" lol.  Actually they are also called "roman tubs".  Why?  No clue.

Matt:  Sure... I will ship it right on over.  Maybe you could use two ?  The better deal would be for one of your sellers to sell in Myrtle Beach, and then relocate to Fort Worth... and see the absolutely amazing home they could buy for the same money.

Sally:  Hon, the shipping costs in floating it over there would be just too much.  Why not move HERE ?  We don't have any active volcanos in Fort Worth... that's a plus !

Donna:  It would cost much more if it were in the Austin area.  Hope things are going well in your new home.  :)

Jenny:  A garden tub is perhaps deeper... but it is usually wider... and definitely made of marble... usually also with a marble "surround."  Although I have never seen a garden tub full of flowers... they are often put in what we call a "C-Shape" home... meaning that just outside the "garden tub" area... there actually IS a garden... nice shrubs, perhaps some tall evergreens for bathing privacy.  Perhaps that is where the term "garden tub" came from.  Take care...

Steve:  Honestly... today I DID get a call from some folks who actually told me they were ready to "get serious."  They called on one of the homes listed on my www.NewHomeHuntersDFW.com website.  Cool, huh ?  Ten o'clock morning appointment with them tomorrow.  And the home they are going to see is absolutely terrific.  We shall see.
