How does one tell a Quick Blog from godaddy.com as you know I had to write you last week to ask what platform your blog is on. Other than you and Casey can you point out other blog using Quick Blog from godaddy.com ?

Maureen, you cannot tell someone is using Quick Blog without looking at the code or someone volunterring the information, as far as I can tell.  I'm have no idea who else is using it (or if anyone is) unless they stumble across the group and volunteer the information.  I'm hoping to find a few folks who do use it!

I tried reading the code on your blog before I asked you.  I will have to go back again and see if I can find it. 

When we did a presentation about website optimization at our board this week, one woman came up afterward and asked Elaine a question about Go-Daddy Blogs.  I was talking to another  agent after the presentation who has his websites on Go-Daddy so I mentioned that they have blogs. 

I had Quick Blogs in the presentation but I went last so I had to severely edit what I had to say to fit it in.  I doubt I uttered the words Go-Daddy or Quick Blogs because I had enough trouble covering very quickly the points on the power point presentation.   

I think I mentioned that Point2 has blogs, Ala Mode has blogs but I don't think I did the part about Go-Daddy Blogs, NAR's new blogs, Christian Real Estate Networks Blogs... etc.

Maureen, if you find it let me know...lol!  I think I masked it when I played around with the code to get the sidebar formated the way I wanted it to be.  There are alot of great platforms out there, but this one was very affordable, fairly flexible and the tech support speaks English very well and is available 24/7,  but when it comes right down to it, I chose it because I could be up and running with a quick input of the credit card number, lol.....I could not stand to wait around for a prettier custom version that someone else created for me and the learning curve on some of the others was just too daunting since I wanted to be up and running immediately.  I'm really impatient...and looking for other users so we can compare experiences.

Michelle... I have bought a few domain names through Godaddy. But I have too much going on when it comes to blogging. Besides Active Rain, I have 2 sites through Typepad.  I think that is cheap also....  $11 a month for unlimited blog sites.  Not bad......

Jeff - I've only been blogging for 3 months - today is my anniversary in fact!  I looked at Typepad and it looks great, but it intimidated me at the time and I wanted something up immediately without the techincal learning curve.

 Quick Blog basic is free with every domain name through godaddy.com now.  I've been fortunate that Bill Brown from godaddy.com is is a developer for Quick Blog has joined our group and is VERY responsive.....and I just got off the phone with a support tech (at 2am in the morning) who held my hand and helped me figure out a little issue I was having.
