Chinese Restaurant in New Port Richey Florida:
Asian Buffet recently opened at 7209 SR 54 in Pasco Square in New Port Richey. As some people already know I am Chinese too on both my mother and my father's side which is rare in Florida but the norm in Hawai'i :) One of my favorite things to do is to eat Chinese food. Usually Chinese restaurants cater to Americanized tastes. Sometimes a restaurant comes along and impresses me with its ability to appeal to American tastes while retaining its authenticity. This restaurant is one of them.
One indication is that this restaurant did not charge extra for hot tea. Yes... that is one quality that tells me that they are authentic so of course this new restaurant earns a huge thumbs up from me :)
Food was fresh and varied. I ate some green beans, salmon, chicken, and bell peppers and took a picture of it with my Blackberry:
My husband commented on how wonderful the decor was and how good the food was.
They served Japanese food too. I tasted their sushi and sashimi:
They serve dessert too but today I passed only because I am not splurging this week :) If I was splurging then I would have definitely had some of their ice cream.
They are open seven days per week:
Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday for $5.99, Friday and Saturday for $6.99, and for children age three to nine years old lunch is $3.99.
Dinner is served from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday. For children three to nine dinner is $4.99 each. For adults $9.99 Monday to Thursday, $10.99 Friday and Saturday, and $10.99 all day Sunday.
They also offer buffet to go. Prices vary but are very reasonable.
There is loads of parking which helps and the decor is modern, relaxing, and comfortable. I highly suggest this place if you want a nice place to eat Chinese food.
