Pascack Valley Wildlife if abundant in our areas!

On this Mothers Day 2009 we wanted to share with you some of our local sites and it's wildlife. We hope you enjoy my pictures. Although the Eagle shot is not my own.

One of the most beautiful features of the Pascack Valley area of Bergen County, New Jersey is the presence of Natural Wildlife.  "The Bergen Record" reported that two adult Bald Eagles have been seen on the Woodcliff Lake Reservoir.  Since our American National Symbol, the Bald Eagle was placed on the endangered species list some 40 years ago, they have been slowly making a comeback.

Wild Turkeys have been showing up in droves as of late also.

Now that it's springtime Baby Bunny's are here also.

And now they are starting to eat our flowers. lol

In the next Pascack Valley town over of Park Ridge, this unidentified beauty can be seen on the Old Mill Lake.  Is it a Loon, is it an Egret????  The Birds of Pascack Valley are always a treat to behold!

Head on over to the Pascack Valley town of River Vale and the natural beauty of the Pascack Valleywas spotted near the corner of Piermont and River Vale Road.

 Running Deer

This beautiful Deer seemed as if he stopped to pose for us to snap his picture!

Then we ran into one in Montvale as well. It was a Bambi look alike.

These are some of the wonderful scenes to enjoy in our Pascack Valley.

And last but not least, Happy Mothers Day to All!

Here is a rose for all our special Moms out there.

Bob--what great photos!  Did you take all yourself?  I have deer and lots of birds around my house, but never get shots like yours.  Thanks for sharing them.  Mary

Now I see the BH or your website on each photo except the eagle.  Presque Isle Penninsula has had eagles nest there in the past.  Last year a rogue eagle (the Erie Times' term) raided the nest.  This year a pair came to the nest for about tow weeks then left it.  The birders are still seeing eagles there, but no nesting pairs.  Other locations in Erie County have nests.
