27 Comments on Hawaiian "Ono" Entrees, Sides and a Luau?
Sally,
Your localism post are fantastic! I am still catching up with all your recent stuff, I can't keep up with you! Keep up the good blog! :)
Brian/Bob/Carolin: Thanks
Sarah: Thanks...and yes you may...and I've been trying to do localism posts more often...anyone can do a reports...but to get creative and write about my home is another.
Teri: Great! The intent was just that!
Neal: I saw they have a bunch of places on the west coast called Ono Hawaiian Food..and they have a lot of what's here. (it's pupu platter...the other one comes out the tail end...haha)
Suzanne: What nice comments! Thanks!
Sally- As if I needed any more reason to want to visit Hawaii. I always vowed that I would go there before I started having kids. Now, I have two kids and have never been there. But, now I'll know what to eat when I do get to go! Excellent post.
Sally,
You never cease to amaze me. Your blogs always have me thinking about something. Now you have me thinking about lunch and dinner.
I love trying food from different ethnic groups, I've never tasted or even heard of most of what you mentioned. I wish there was a place to get these things around here.
I wish we lived closer together, I know where I'd be mysteriously showing up... right about dinner time.
Keep on Bloggin... keep on cookin
Midori: Well, that's why my hubby and I have gained a few in the last few years....thank goodness we only gained a couple after quitting smoking.
Randy: Yeah, well I love good food...and I've given up half the junk so I NEED the food. haha.
Christina: Everyone always seems to find a way here....especially people like Neal Bloom who watched the Brady Bunch and wanting to come since he was a kid...watch..he'll get over here...and so will you. Thanks for coming by!
Bill: Yup....good cuisine....thanks for coming by!
Steven: Oh, shucks! I failed to mention I DON'T COOK hahahaha! For all this stuff I go to restaurants...no time to cook...and only hubbie and me...so we cook simple meals...good ole American steak and potatoes (most likely rice) salad.
Robert: There's some that you can order online... believe it or not.
The only raw fish I enjoy is Lox, on a bagel. But my boys love sashimi.
Good morning Sally, Thanks for the info and continued support.
I am upgrading those other pages that we spoke about. It will take some time, I want it to be just so. I have to be careful because although I want to emphasize Staten Island, I don't want to exclude the rest of NYC. I starting to get a few ideas.
