When It Comes To Moms, It Really Is The Thought That Counts

By

I would definitely have to say that when it comes to your mother/ mom/ mumzy/ whatever you may call her, she only cares about the effort. Most don't even want a gift, especially in these tough times.

Its a little late notice, but lets say that you have been slacking and didn't get mom a thing...

Make her dinner

Wash her car

Clean her house

Simple flowers that you pick up on the way to her house.

A book from her favorite author.

Moms are always good for a bath kit or soap kit.

Anyways, I know none of you guys slacked on this and there isn't one of you that didn't do SOMETHING for your mom.

Have a great mothers day!

Hi Josh, The thing a Mom wants most is to be able to spend time with her children.  That is the best gift.

Hi Josh, I agree that one's creativity to do other things is the best present. It doesn't matter what it is, it's the effort that counts:)

My mom likes the time I spend with her. She says "every day is mother's day to me because you are here." The gift I give is my presence in her daily life. Doing chores for her throughout the year mean more than a bouquet of flowers on one particular day.

Josh,

Unfortuntaley my mom had a stroke a couple years ago so we go visit her in a nursing home. Sure not like the old days.

My 18 year old son cooked for me, and I did get a book from my favourite author, as well as some lottery tickets and flowers.  He did good ... but a simple "Happy Mother's Day" with a hug, would have been more than enough. :)
