The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 authorizes a tax credit of up to $8,000 for qualified first-time home buyers purchasing a principal residence on or after January 1, 2009 and before December 1, 2009.

Rhode Island Real Estate market update - Where has everyone go? - Newport Real Estate, services for today's world!!

The real estate market in Rhode Island has been shaken up, this is nothing very unusual for an industry when times get tough, I guess everyone has to find a way to make a living.

I have to say, it has been a little difficult, all we have to do is look around, only 24 houses have sold in Newport in the last 3 months, 66 in Middletown, Newport and Portsmouth combined.

I cannot help it, but to feel bad for the people that did not make it, or those who will leave the industry before it is all over.

At the same time, I am continuing to invest time on lead generating and getting the knowledge my clients expect from me.
