Nice insight. I'm going to see how it is doing in picking up some of the rural ones in Teller and Park county Colorado.

Spencer,

Just explored. Now I know what happened to all the potential sellers who decided NOT to list with me at fair market value. But it is a VERY interesting concept...

Update - In a response below, Spencer mentions "weirdest coincidence of timing I've seen in a while." They must be going around...

I just got my first ever call from Zillow to sell me advertising.

This is a great idea!  I did not realize this was on zillow and will investigate further on the site.  Thanks for the great simple explanation Spencer.

Thanks everyone

And check this out -- in the weirdest coincidence of timing I've seen in a while, my sister-in-law in San Diego got an offer on her home's Make Me Move last night!

I've actually got a client who uses the Make Me Move feature.  It is a great way to meet sellers and seller prospects as well as hook up buyer prospects with oftentimes great properties with willing sellers.  Makes for quicker deals!

I noticed that you only focused on how it could help buyer agents. Hmmm. It is almost a surefire way to locate FSBO's who just might be amenable to working with a listing agent after futile months of trying to sell on their own.

William,

You're definitely right. Prospecting for listings among MMMs and FSBOs would probably be fruitful. The reason I didn't emphasize that though is that most MMM owners will react negatively to a ping from an agent looking to get the listing. FSBOers less so, but they too are prickly about listing agents soliciting them. So I think the better route is for buyers agents to pursue MMMs for their buyers.

Spencer, I appreciate the post, but sometimes access the internet via means that does not readily deal with vidoes so could not watch.  A short text post to accompany it would have benefitted me more.

This is great information. Although I am not a Realtor so I can't use it I have shared it with my Realtor friends on facebook. Thanks for sharing!

Didn't realize this was a part of Zillow but I too am passing it on to my fellow Realtors.

I appreciate the high quality video tutorial...it was very helpful seeing and getting a good naration from you Spencer. I also agree with you that this tool is a great way to position yourself as a forward thinking agent...not everyone will use this or know about this trick so you could get your buyers into some great listings that nobody else has. Picture it as the pocket listing of 2009 and beyond.

The video was certainly insightful, and I appreciate the specific website offering additional ideas and tips to fully utilize Zillow's benefits.
